COCONUT CREEK, Fla. - Barbro Morrison, 85, former long-time resident of Sparta, passed away Jan. 9, 2013, after a short illness. Barbro was born in Buenos Aires, and was predeceased by her beloved husband, Scott, in 2001. She graduated from Gould Academy in Maine. Barbro was employed at VNA both in New Jersey and Florida. She was a deacon at the Sparta Presbyterian Church before moving to Florida in 1983. Barbro was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Vicky Siegel, of Highland Village, Texas; four sons, Stuart, of Irving, Texas, Bruce, S. Milwaukee, Gordon, of Bremen, Ga., and Gregg, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters and five nieces and two nephews. Internment of ashes, both Barbro and Scott, will be Aug. 9, 2013, at the Sparta Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta - Deacon's Fund.
