FRANKLIN - Bromslaw "Ben" Zuczek, 81, died after a short illness at his home Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014.

Born to Ignacy and Josefa Zuczek in Belleville, he had lived in Belleville, then Clifton, Ringwood and Bloomfield before moving to Franklin 25 years ago.

Mr. Zuczek was a graduate of Belleville High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University and served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a field service manager for IBM in Waldwick for 35 years before retiring. He was a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle R.C. Church in Hamburg.

Mr. Zuczek was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Zuczek, and a brother, Edward Joseph Zuczek. He was the beloved husband of Betty Zuczek (Mara), of Franklin; devoted father of Ellen Griffiths, of Stillwater, Steven Zuczek and his wife, Laura, of Dallas, Texas; loving grandfather of Shane, Carly, Jesse and Sarah Griffiths, of Stillwater, and Leia Rodgers and her husband, Cason, of Houston, Texas; dear brother of Theodore Zuczek and his wife, Linda, of Sarasota, Fla.; and cherished uncle of Thomas and Todd Zuczek, of Florida.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hardyston Township.
