CARL BOROWICZ Obituary

ROCK HILL, N.Y. -- Carl J. Borowicz died at home Wednesday, March 31, 2010. He was 82.

The son of the late Joseph and Louise Ullrich Borowicz, he was born Jan. 28, 1928 in Trenton. Carl proudly served in the Air Force during World War II, where his love of aviation started. Carl then went to work for Pan American Airlines at Kennedy Airport, retiring after 25 years.

A family statement reads: ' Carl (also known as ÔRedÕ) never lost his love of planes, and many an afternoon could be found sitting on the porch looking for planes. He also loved antique cars and especially Oldsmobiles.'

Carl was survived by his sister, Anita L. Brasington, but sadly she departed not long after him on April 16, 2010.

Survivors include his two nieces, Betsy Brasington, of Branchville, and Anita L. Davidson, of Hudson, N.H.; two great-nieces, Kristen Dockham, of New Hampshire, and Abby Tadenev, of Maryland; one great-nephew, Spencer Kordecki, of Branchville; one great-great-niece, Gwen, of New Hampshire; and several cousins in Pennsylvania. He also leaves his special porch buddies, Bob, John and Frank.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 1, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 Saint John St., Monticello, N.Y. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that dress be casual.

Memorial contributions may be made to Angel Flight East, 1501 Narcissa Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422.

Funeral arrangements are by Ramsay's Funeral Homes Inc.
