SOMERSET, Ky. - Todd Herring, 48, died suddenly from pneumonia on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky. Known by most as Todd, Danny Todd Herring was born May 2, 1964, in Denville to the late Daniel Charles and Irene (Therriat) Herring. He moved to Newton in 1977 and was a 1982 graduate of Newton High School. He later made residence in Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and was looking to settle in Kentucky. Mr. Herring was a merchandising specialist for Wakefern Food Corporation and of the Catholic faith. He loved music, was a guitar player in the band Alliance, had a legendary sense of humor and was a Christmas fanatic. Mr. Herring loved his children and being with his family. Mr. Herring married Lori Ann (Jones) Herring on Oct. 4, 2010, in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and she survives him. Along with his wife, he is survived by his three children, Nicholas Herring, Dylan Herring and Victoria Herring, of Pennsylvania; and two stepchildren, Nicholas and Haylee Owens, of Somerset Ky.; a sister, Danielle (and Mike) Heller, of Newton; a brother, Jeff (and Michelle) Herring, of New Jersey; his nieces and nephews, Jeffrey and Emily Herring and Justin and Jake Heller; and his lifelong friend, Ed Spatarella. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial celebration for Todd Herring will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Newton VFW. Contributions may be made to the
