Dianna Elizabeth (Terwilliger) Van Horn Obituary
McINTOSH, Fla. - Mrs. Dianna Elizabeth (Terwilliger) Van Horn, 80, born on Feb. 14, 1938, in Branchville, to the late Iva Terwilliger and the late Harold Terwilliger, passed away at home on June 10, in Mclntosh, Fla. Dianna and her husband of 64 years, Norman, lived in Wantage, before moving to Mclntosh, Fla., in 1982.
Dianna was a homemaker for many years; in addition she drove a bus for Havens Bus Service of Sussex; worked at the Sussex County Jail and youth center; and also True Value of Sussex. After moving to Florida, she worked at the Mclntosh post office, and in 1996, Dianna and Norman opened their two antique shops, named "Dianna Van Horn Antiques."
Dianna was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Terwilliger, Willis Terwilliger, Carl Terwilliger and Lee Terwilliger. Dianna is survived by her husband of 64 years, Norman, and their three sons and families, Carl Van Horn, of Lake Ariel, Pa., and partner, Elissa Garofalo, Carl's children, Rebecca Van Horn and her partner, Jamie McNern, and Louis Van Horn; Ronnie Van Horn and wife, Kimberly, of Ocala, Fla., their children, Jessica Embree and husband, Brad, James Van Horn and partner, Jessica, Michael Van Horn and partner, Erica; Wayne Van Horn and wife, Nancy, of Wantage, and their children, Melissa Vander Berg and husband, Dan, Danielle Lordy and husband, Christopher, and Katlyn Van Horn, and partner, Owen Clark. She is also survived by her siblings and their families, brothers, Earl "Mike" and Danny Terwilliger; sisters, Arlie Cannon, Joyce Gardner, Marion Grover, Karen Hooey, and Sheila Decker; and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by four great-grandchildren, Jessica and Brad Embree's children, Mackenzie, Aubree, and Presley, and Michael Van Horn's daughter, Elizabeth.
She had a lifelong passion for antiques, folk painting, crafts and furniture
refinishing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5, at the Sussex Firehouse in Sussex.
