SHOHOLA, Pa. - Elmer David Weed Jr., 68, of Shohola, Pa., formerly of Sussex County, passed away at home Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was a retired truck driver for Richard Dahn Inc., Lafayette. The son of Elmer C. and Dorothy May (Rogers) Weed Sr., he was born Feb. 19, 1944, in Sussex. He was married to Carol (Masker) Weed on May 23, 1964. Survivors include his wife; five children, Flossie Hook of Shohola, Pa., David Weed of Wilmer, Ala., Ronnie Weed of Matamoras, Pa., Donnie Weed of Cuddlebackville, N.Y., Danny Weed of Shohola, Pa.; three brothers, John Weed of Wantage, N.J., Leonard Weed of Shohola, Pa., Robert Weed of Port Jervis, N.Y.; three sisters, Barbara Mackin of Port Jervis, N.Y., Charleen Bush of Rogersville, Tenn., Darleen Brock of Chester, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Weed; sister, Joan Smith; and nephew, little Jimmy. Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, Pa., Sunday, July 8, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home Sunday July 8, at 8 p.m. with the Chaplain Carol Cowan officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Elmer Weed Memorial Fund, c/o Wells Fargo, 224 Broad St., Milford, PA 18337.
