FRANKFORD - Elmer Willard Hough, 83, of Frankford, died at home Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, following a long illness with Alzheimer's. Born in Frankford on May 10, 1929, Mr. Hough was a lifelong resident of Frankford. He farmed for most of his early days on the Hough farm with his father, Willard, and his younger brother, John, until they sold the farm in 1965. Most recently, he worked for Rainbow Carpet and Upholstery in Branchville for 20 years, before his retirement in 1998. The son of the late William and Catherine (Crone) Hough, Mr. Hough is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mayona (Cook) Hough; his daughter, Marjorie Sierski, and her husband, Joseph, of Montague; two grandchildren, Steven and Maria Williams; a sister, Miriam Carpenter, and her husband, James, of Montague; and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Marissa and Anna. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville. Interment will follow in Beemerville Cemetery.
