NEWTON - Eugene Paul Foran, 54, of Newton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.

Born Jan. 10, 1958, he was a member of the SCARC Choir in Sussex County and was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church in Franklin. He was vice president of Pure Sound Studios in McAfee for the special needs section and he organized many recordings for the SCARC choir. He wrote his own song, "Rise Above," and won several awards in the Special Olympics. Eugene had his own radio station, JPower Radio, and he earned an associate degree in Liberal Arts from the County College of Morris.

Eugene was predeceased by his brother, Robert Foran. He is survived by his brother, Edward Foran; 41 nieces and nephews; and one great-neice.

A memorial service will be held in his honor Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Baptist Church, 70 Munsonhurst Road (Route 517), Franklin. Call Pastor Bruce Wagner for more information, 973-209-2650.
