Frederick Solomon Hatem III

VERNON - Frederick Solomon Hatem III, passed into eternal life on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, after suffering injuries from an automobile accident. He was 44 Years old.

Fred was born in Pompton Plains to Frederick Hatem Jr. and Judith Fletcher (Braun), and had resided in Glenwood since February. He was raised and formerly resided in Andover Township. Fred was employed for the past six years as a warehouse manager with Symbiotic Salon Systems of Port Washington, N.Y. He was a major participant in the BMX racing community.

Surviving Frederick is his wife, Christine, of Lafayette; a son, Gabriel, and a daughter, Ava, at home; his father, Frederick Hatem Jr. and mother, Judith Fletcher; three sisters, Lisa Hatem and companion, Seth Hollar, of Aspen, Colo., Debra Sudaley and husband, Michael, of South Setauket, N.Y., and Tracy Cohen and husband, Jeffrey, of Sunny Isle, Fla.; seven nephews and one niece.

Friends and family are invited Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. to Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, with interment following in the Sparta Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are being accepted to the Bruce Cohen Memorial Cancer Fund, 385 Oser Ave., Hauppauge, NY 11788.
