FRANKFORD - George J. Clouse, 86, was called home to our Lord on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013. Born at the Silver Lake Farm in Blairstown on Sept. 7, 1927, George was the son of the late Frank R. Clouse and Pearl M. Clouse (Sliker). After moving to Stillwater, George attended the Middleville School in Middleville and Newton High School. George worked on the family farms in Stillwater, Portland, Pa., Marksboro, and then back to the Potter Farm in Stillwater. Retiring from farming, George worked at Austenal in Rockaway and then for Farm Harvester, retiring 1992. After that, he enjoyed his retirement between Florida, Andover and Calicoon, Pa., doing exactly what he wanted, when he wanted. George loved auctions, flea markets, gardening and visiting his numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and family friends. George was predeceased by his sisters, Lillie Ashton, Mayme Halbert, Julia Clouse, Ruth Millspaugh, and his brothers, Frank Jr. and Earl. He is survived by his sisters, Clara Stone and her husband, Ray, Ella Martin and Irene Smith; and brothers Clarkson, Ronald and Leon. Arrangements for cremation are by Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, Newton. Burial will be at the family plot at the Yellow Frame Cemetery, Huntsville. Private celebrations in George's memory will be held by all family members in the various states of residency: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico, North Carolina, Arizona, South Dakota, Virginia and Indiana.
