NEWTON - Harry F. Ramage, 79, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at his residence in Newton after a long illness.

Born in Newton to the late Samuel and Elizabeth May (Westbrook) Ramage, Harry lived in Sussex County before moving to Delaware in 1969 and had returned to Sussex County in 2006. He had been employed by the Bandywine Raceway in Wilmington, Del., and retired in 1996. Harry was a huge country music fan and enjoyed singing all different country music songs.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Harold Guest in 2002 and Douglas Guest in 2004; and his sisters, Pauline Decker in 1977, Evelyn Turnbull in 1988, Anna Coursen in 1990, Delvina Harbula in 1994, Shirley Rogers in 1994 and Louise Smith in 2003. Harry is survived by his longtime companion, Mary Fulmer, of Newton; nine children; his brother, Robert Guest, of Pennsylvania; his sisters, Viola Sanders of Unionville, N.Y., Violet Gould of Wantage, Eva Hendershot of Newton, and Pearl Rickets of Florida; his special nephew, Robert Guest, of Sussex; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday prior to the service, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the funeral home.
