HARDYSTON - Hester "Dorothy" Courtright, 77, died unexpectedly at Newton Medical Center on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. Born to Chauncey and Mabel Courtright in Vernon, she had been a 64-year resident of Hardyston. Dorothy worked as a presser for the Custom Shop at Morley Shirt Factory in Franklin for many years and then worked as a server for Maschio Food Service at Wallkill Valley Regional High School, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed trips to Lancaster, Pa., doing word search and working in her yard and was an avid bear collector. Dorothy was predeceased by six brothers, Harry, Warren, Ralph, Royce, Irving and Noah; and two sisters, Katherine Courtright and Louise DeGraw; and is cherished by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin, from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13. Graveside service will be Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Hamburg Fire Department Auxiliary, P.O.
