HAMPTON - James Steven Connolly, 72, of the Crandon Lakes section of Hampton Township, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at Care One in Morristown. Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Connolly moved to Hampton Township 42 years ago. He was in the construction industry for 45 years and retired as the construction manager for March Associates in Wayne. An avid Yankees fan, Mr. Connolly enjoyed sports, music, nature, gardening, reading and writing. His faith was strong; he loved his family and was especially proud of his Irish heritage. The son of the late John and Margaret (King) Connolly, Mr. Connolly is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Connolly; four children, Scott B. Connolly, of Marlton, Christine "Chris" Dube, of Sandyston, Erin Williams, of Hampton Township, and Patricia Cleveland, of Galloway Township; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Connolly, of Gillette; and three sisters, Constance DiBella, of Minnesota, Margaret "Lolie" Fasano, of Monroe, N.Y., and Ann Paulette Petrlak, of Woodcliff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church in Sandyston. Visitation will be held at the church from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.
