HAMPTON - Jennifer Lee Elchin, 26, of Hampton Township, passed away at home on Saturday, July 6, 2013, following a battle with cancer. Born in Newton, Jennifer was raised in Stillwater and was a lifelong resident of Sussex County. She was a graduate of Kittatinny Regional High School. Jennifer was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend to many. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two boys. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Jennifer is survived by her parents, Susan Elchin, of Newton, and Joseph Elchin, of South Jersey; her sons, Brody and Bryson Johnson, who live at home; her sister, Alicia Elchin, of Morristown; her stepfather, Andrew Clarke, of Newton; her maternal grandmother, Jean Richards, of Newton; her paternal grandfather, Robert Elchin, of Pennsylvania; and her boyfriend, Brandon Johnson, of Newton. Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. A prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Jennifer L. Elchin Memorial Fund, 288 Newton-Swartswood Road, Newton, NJ 07860.
