FRANKFORD - Jo-Marie Tanzola, 69, of Frankford, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Hackensack, Mrs. Tanzola lived in Teaneck for most of her life, then lived in Highland Lakes and Newton before moving to Frankford. She was a health care worker at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck. Mrs. Tanzola was a Highland Lakes activist for Save the Bears. The daughter of the late Charles Joseph Sawicki and Josephine (Coolick) Vairette, Mrs. Tanzola is survived by her sister, Carol Giordano and husband, John, of Sebring, Fla.; her niece, Elissa Kenna; and her nephews, John Charles Giordano and Russell A. Giordano. Services and interment are private and under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
