SUSSEX - Joseph Klecha, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at his home in Sussex. Mr. Klecha, son of the late Adam and Katherine (Mycek) Klecha, was born in Franklin Jan. 9, 1922. He had been a lifelong resident of Sussex. Mr. Klecha was an electrical contractor and the owner of Joseph Klecha Electrical Contractor of Sussex. He was a life member and ex-chief of the Sussex Fire Department, life member of N.J. State Firemen's Association and a life member of Sussex County Firemen's Association. Mr. Klecha was a member of the Square 5 Gun Club and the Blue Ridge Gun Club in Deposit, N.Y. He was a charter member of Sussex Elks Lodge 2288 BPOE and was a member of Church of the Good Shephard in Wantage. Mr. Klecha was predeceased by a daughter, Lemoyne Klecha, in 1950; brothers, John and Chester Klecha; and sisters, Mary Federkiewicz and Nellie Golemboske. He is survived by his wife, Catherine R. (Martin) Klecha; children, Joseph M. Klecha and his wife, Sharon, of Sussex and Elaine Kopec and her husband, Frank, of Soldotna, Alaska; sister, Stella Flynn, of Franklin; grandchildren, Mathew and Megan Kopec, Stacey and Sam DeGroat, Dustin and Daniela Kopec, David and Krista Klecha and Kelly Klecha and her fiancé, Todd Boise; great-grandchildren, Sammy and Gunnar DeGroat, Macen and Kaden Kopec and Brayden Kopec. A funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. at Church of the Good Shephard, 200 Route 23, Wantage. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Sussex. Friends may call at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third St., Sussex, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Fire department services will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
