Karen H. Morgan Obituary
PORT JERVIS, N.Y. -- Karen H. Morgan, 46, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

Karen was born in Newton and had been a resident of Sussex County for most of her life, until recently moving to Port Jervis, N.Y., with her sister. She had worked at the Sussex Inn for many years and had been employed as a medical assistant for Orthopedic Associates of West Jersey in Dover.

Karen was a devout Catholic and was a true inspiration to all. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for 35 years, and her optimism, beaming smile and upbeat sense of humor showed everyone her love of life, family and friends.

Karen was predeceased by her father. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, of Flanders; her daughter, Ashley Kreutle, of Evansville, Ind.; her parents, Sharon and Bill Wien, of Flanders; her sisters, Kelly Wien Marks and her husband, Kevin, of Newton, Toni Schill Ennis and her husband, Joseph, of Port Jervis, N.Y., Angie Wien Portsmore and her husband, Michael, of Hardyston, Denise Macloud, of Louisiana, and Meredith Gauthier and her husband, Steven, of Louisiana; her brother, Trevor Macloud and his wife, Christina, of Louisiana; her devoted aunts and uncles, Margaret and Richard Wien of Lincroft, and Karen MaGill of Frankford; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 22, at 10 a.m. at the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, Saint Mary’s Church, 30 Ball St., Port Jervis, N.Y. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Sunday, July 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Prayer services will be offered at 8 p.m. on Sunday during the visitation. Interment of Karen’s ashes will be private for the family.
