WAYNE - Layton Thomas Goble, 75, died April 15, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease at Preakness Heath Care Center in Wayne, with his family by his side. He was born May 4, 1937, in Byram Township where he was raised and lived most of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel Goble and Hazel (Hooey) Goble; his sister, Roberta Garris and her husband, Russel; brothers, Harold, Allen and his twin brother Richard; and his niece, Sharon Garris Sawart. Layton is survived by his sister, Clara Milens and her husband, Frederick, of Byram; nieces, Diana Talmadge, Sandra Perez, Debra McConnell and Patricia Leasure; and nephews, Frederick and Douglas Milens, Allen Goble and Leonard Garris. Interment will be private at the Sparta United Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, N.J. 07871.
