WINNIPEG, MANITOBA - Marion Eleanore Schnare (Minion), 93, passed away June 17, 2013, at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Born in Garfield on Oct. 19, 1919, to Bartholomew and Adeline Minion, Marion was raised in Garfield, where she graduated from Garfield High School. After graduation, Marion became a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone Company. In 1951, she and Len Schnare were married in Teaneck and settled in Hackensack, where their two children were born. In 1960, they moved to Ogdensburg to raise their family. In 1972, Marion, her husband and daughter moved to British Columbia, Canada, then to Manitoba, Canada, in 2007. Marion was predeceased by her granddaughter, Autumn Melody Bowles, and her brother, Joseph Minion. Marion is survived by her husband, Harold Leonard Schnare, of Winnipeg; her son, Jeffrey Schnare and his wife, Eileen, of Stockholm; her daughter, Pamela Bowles, and her husband, Warren, of Winnipeg; her grandson, Randy Bowles, and his wife, Jamie, of Winnipeg; her grandson, Eli Schnare, and granddaughter, Martha Schnare, both of Baltimore, Md.; her grandson, Dustin Schnare; and her great-granddaughter, Alexis Reeves, of Idaho Springs, Colo. Cremation was private. A memorial service was held at the home of Randy and Jamie Bowles.
