ANDOVER -- Michael Anthony Bruno, 22, of Andover, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at home. Born in Hackensack, Anthony lived in New Milford before moving to Andover 14 years ago. The son of John and Patricia (Babiak) Bruno, Michael will be missed by all who knew him.

Michael attended Pope John his freshman year of high school, switching to Newton High School for the remaining years. Michael was very athletic. He played football and basketball. Michael was an avid skateboarder and snowboarder, and he also enjoyed scuba diving. Additionally, Michael loved to party and play beer pong with his friends. He was a lifeguard and a very talented artist who enjoyed sketching. For the past few years, Michael had been employed at the Tattoo Factory as a tattoo artist, after serving his apprenticeship there.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, Jared A. Bruno, also of Andover; his paternal grandparents, Thomas J. and Margherita M. Bruno; maternal grandparents, Arthur M. and Arline Babiak; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also is survived by his loving girlfriend, Kayla Castimore.
Funeral services for Michael will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd R.C. Church in Andover. Visitation will be today and Monday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St. (Route 206) Newton.
