WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Mike Nadeau, 56, of Washington Township, Pa., passed away at St. Luke's Hospital, on Dec. 6, with his loving wife, Paula, holding his hand by his side. Born on May 4, 1961, in Chapeau, Quebec, he was the son of the late Mary LaPierre Nadeau and Acey Nadeau. He was greatly influenced by his parents who gave him his strong work ethic, taught him to be kind and generous and blessed him with the ability to build or fix anything, hunt, fish and bake. Mike was a high school graduate who started his paving stone career sweeping the floors and worked his way up to chief operating officer and part owner of Techo-Bloc Corp, in Pen Argyl, where he worked for the past 14 years. Mike believed that with hard work, dedication and passion, he and anyone could accomplish anything. He instilled these values in his employees, friends and family.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Paula Pantaleo Nadeau, and his 15- year-old daughter, Teresa, who was his pride and joy. His greatest moments were playing guitar with Teresa, listening to her sing or play piano, watching her act and time spent fishing on his
boat with "his girls." Mike is also survived by his loving brothers, Dr. John Nadeau (Stephanie), and Hugh (Ginette), both of whom he greatly loved and admired, and who traveled far to be at his side during his illness; his sisters, Rosie Flanagan (Bob), and Jean McConneghy; his mother-in-law, Isabella Pantaleo; and sister-in-law, Frances (Bob). He was pre-deceased by his sister, Joan; a brother, James; and his father-in-law, Philip Pantaleo. Mike will be greatly missed by the people in the U.S. and Canada he touched, encouraged, taught and influenced, including his many nieces and nephews, co-workers, employees and friends, especially his partner, Charlie Ciccarello, and his best friend, Chris McAllister, who was by his side and helped take care of Mike and his family during his illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Ave., Pen Argyl, Pa. There will be visitation hours, Monday, Dec. 11, beginning at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Tuesday, Dec. 12, beginning at 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., all at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Roch's Cemetery, West Bangor. The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, Pen Argyl is in charge of arrangements.
Donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer, www.lustgarten.org, 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797.

Dear Paula and Teresa
Over the past few years I had the incredible privilege of working with Mike at Techo-Bloc. The truly unique passion he displayed for his craft was only exceeded by the love and reverence he had for both of you.
Rarely in a lifetime, do we have the opportunity to meet someone as remarkable as Mike. His wittiness and genuine warm-heartedness were qualities that stood out instantly. He had an innate ability to understand people and make them feel welcomed.
Despite his passing, Mike will always be with us. His commitment to excellence, loyalty and benevolence will be the beacon that guides us forward.
Words can't begin to express how sad we truly are. On behalf of all his Canadian Techo-Bloc colleagues, please accept our heartfelt condolences.

My deepest condolences on the passing of Mike. I enjoyed working with Mike and I had the unique pleasure of creating a series of videos in which Mike promoted the benefits of the Hess machine technology and the high standards of the Techo-Bloc operations. The videos were so well-received (most people thought Mike was a hired actor!) that they were distributed globally to all English-speaking markets. I used to kid Mike that they were building statues to him in certain parts of India, which greatly amused him. Mike was always gracious when we asked for permission to take other producers on a plant tour, which resulted in every producer leaving with the certain knowledge that they had a lot of work to do to catch up. He was a true partner to the rise of Techo-Bloc and a force in our industry. During our many dinners, he never tired of glowingly speaking about the true loves of his life, Paula and Theresa. You could sense that it was a special love. I myself lost my own father when he was too young, and I always tell my children that he is with me now more than ever. Which is more than true. Love transcends all dimensions, and has no limitations. God Bless you, Mike! We will miss you. May you forever be enfolded in the warm embrace of the Greatest Love of all.

Our Dear Special Friends, Paula and Teresa. Such a sad loss to everyone that knew Mike. We have shared some of life's most important memories with you. If we had never met in Jamaica, we would never have gone back a year later to then get married. How wonderful to have Mike as our best man. Mike introduced Spencer to the epic annual snowmobile trip. That would never of happened if we had never met. As Mike said in his wedding speech to us, "Friends for Life". We will always treasure our friendship with you and we will all miss Mike. Sending you all our love Spencer, Clare, Oliver, Jack & Sam xxxx
