Richard Longcor Obituary

STILLWATER - Richard Longcor, 74, of Stillwater, died Tuesday, May, 3, 2011, at home following a long illness. He was born July 14, 1936, in Wantage and resided most of his life in Sussex County. He was the son of the late Charles C. and Caroline (Houston) Longcor Sr.

Richard served in the U.S. Army as a SP3 from 1955-1958. He retired from County Concrete Corp. in Kenvil, where he was a member of AFL-C IO Teamster Union.

Mr. Longcor was predeceased by his brothers, William and Charles C. Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lois (Ferris-Scholz); his sister, Marie Iliff of Wantaque; three stepdaughters, Robinn Fichter of Lehighton, Pa., Dawnn Morris of Newburgh, N.Y., and Daele Phlegar of Stillwater; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in July.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860.
