STILLWATER â€" Robbin Lisa Rolaf-Hofmann, 54, of Stillwater, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family after a difficult 14-month fight with cancer. She was strong during the entire fight, selflessly putting her family and friends before herself as she had her entire life. Robbin was born in Englewood Hospital on Jan. 9, 1959. She graduated from Bergenfield High School in 1977 and was on the varsity field hockey team. Amazingly, while working and devotionally raising four young children, she attended and graduated Sussex County Community College in 1999, then proceeded to proudly graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from William Paterson University in 2002. She had an amazing love of animals and also enjoyed vacationing with family and friends to Maine and Lake George. She loved any activities outdoors and craft fairs. Above all, she loved her children and would do anything for them. Robbin is survived by her life partner, James E. Hofmann; and her four children, James A. Hofmann, Karen Lee Hofmann, Kristy Marie Hofmann and Cody Robert Hofmann. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 4:30 p.m., in the Yellow Frame Church, 1 Yellow Frame Road, Newton. Friends of the deceased may start to arrive at 4 p.m. to reflect with the family. After the ceremony food and refreshments will be available. In lieu of flowers and in gratitude of the loving care she received, she had requested donations be dedicated in memory of Robbin L. Rolaf to NMC Foundation/Sparta Cancer Center and can be mailed to 175 High St., Newton, NJ 07860.
