FRANKLIN - Robert Carl Reagan, 79, died peacefully at home on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013.

Born to John and Alma Reagan in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was raised, he moved to Willingboro and then lived in Franklin for the last 30 years.

Mr. Reagan attended St. Bernard's School and St. Joseph's Prep before attending St. Joseph's University to earn his Bachelor of Science in physics and Drexel University to earn his Master of Science in technical engineering, all in Philadelphia, Pa. He served with the United States Army during peacetime and then worked for the United States government for 35 years as a branch chief of the Small Caliber Ammunitions Division at Picatinny Arsenal before retiring in 1990.

Mr. Reagan was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church and a member of the Wallkill Valley Country Club, serving on the Board of Directors and as secretary. He also served with the Borough of Franklin Zoning Board and took great joy in playing golf.

Mr. Reagan was predeceased by a son, Kevin G. Reagan (2005). He was the beloved husband for 55 years of Mary Reagan (Wood), of Franklin; devoted father of Robert C. Reagan Jr., of Medford, Maryanne McCringdle, of Arlington, Va., and Kathleen Mazzei, of Warren; and cherished grandfather of eight.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin, on Friday, Oct. 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral will be held at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Franklin, Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Hardyston.
