HEWITT - Dr. Ronald J. Hoffer, 64, of Hewitt, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at home.

Born in Passaic, Dr. Hoffer resided in Clifton for many years before moving to Hillside and then to Hewitt in 1984. He had been a practicing dentist since 1981, the last 14 years in his own practice in Vernon.

Dr. Hoffer was a graduate of Rutgers University and of Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Hoffer, in 2005.

Survivors include: his wife, Arlene (Vollom); his mother, Angela (Kurnath) Hoffer, of Davie, Fla.; his daughter, Amy Anson, of Toms River; his stepdaughter, Laura Morozoff and her husband, David, and their two children, Matthew and Christine of Clark; his sister, Diane Kimberly and her husband, Daniel, of Susquehanna, Pa.; his niece, Kerri Sokolic and her husband, Adam; his nephew, Jamie Kimberley; and his cousin, Howard Hoffer.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton and 11 a.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, 218 Ackerman Ave., Clifton. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Memorial visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at the funeral home.
