STILLWATER - Theodore C. Koch, 84, of the Crandon Lakes section of Stillwater, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Newton Medical Center.

Born in Ridgefield, Mr. Koch lived in Jefferson, moved to the Swartswood Lake section of Stillwater in 1974 and had been a resident of Crandon Lakes since January. A United States Army veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict. He was the former owner/operator of Sebring Auto Parts Inc. in Newton for 35 years, retiring 29 years ago. Mr. Koch was an avid boater.

The son of the late Theodore E. and Mabel (Thompson) Koch, Mr. Koch is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn (Blamey) Koch; two sons, Stephen Koch of Fredon and Jeffery Koch of Andover Township; six grandchildren, Mikaela, Kelsey, Delaney, John, Katherine and Robert Koch; and one brother, Robert Koch of Stockholm.

Family eulogies will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
