SUSSEX - Thomas P. Mitchell, 70, died unexpectedly at Saint Clare's Hospital, Sussex, on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. Born to James and Margaret Mitchell in Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Westwood before moving to Sussex in 1983. Mr. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science in pharmacology and was a New York licensed pharmacist. He worked for Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, N.Y., as a manufacturing products manager and then served as a pharmacist for Rite Aid in Middletown, N.Y., for more than 21 years. He was a former president of the Vernon Little League and enjoyed watching sports, cooking and barbecuing. Mr. Mitchell was predeceased by his wife, Mary E. Mitchell (2002), and was the devoted father of Thomas M. Mitchell and his wife, Robyn, of Sussex, Christopher Mitchell of Vernon, Daniel Mitchell and his wife, Julie, of Wantage, Sean Mitchell of Vernon, and Keri Peters and her husband, Brian, of Tannersville, Pa. Loving grandfather of Aiden, Austin, Ashton and Cole. Dear brother of Peter Mitchell of Franklin, Michael Mitchell of Bronx, N.Y., James Mitchell of Staten Island, N.Y., and Margaret Chadwick of Pennsylvania. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.
