HARDYSTON - Horace Ross, 69, of Stockholm, died at his home on Sept. 23, 2013. Mr. Ross was born in Franklin and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for the Township of Hardyston and was self-employed before becoming disabled. Horace was the son of the late Elizabeth and George Ross and also was predeceased by his sisters, Velma Sanders and Audrey Talmadge, and brothers, Robert and Kevin Ross. Mr. Ross is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Ann Ross; beloved sons, David Ross, of Wantage, and Michael Ross, of Hamburg; daughter, Anna Marie Ross, of Stockholm; beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, David Ross; and his beloved pet, Harley. Devoted brother of Valerie Reilly, Barbara Rinkel and Uldine Ross, all of Stockholm; Marlene Owens and her husband, Michael, of Vernon; Vance Ross and his wife, Nancy; Wayne Ross and his wife, Nancy, of Stockholm; Durwin Ross and his wife, Brenda, of Franklin; Edward Ross and his wife, Donna, of Montague; George Ross and his wife, Judy, of Tennessee; and sister-in-laws, Diane Meiner Ross, of Stockholm, and Helen Ross, of Ogdensburg. He also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta.
