WOODBURY, N.Y. â€"â€" Ronald Seidel, 70, passed away on Jan. 20, 2014, in Woodbury, N.Y.

Born on Aug. 31, 1943, in Newton to the late Kurt and Elizabeth Scheibner Seidel, Ronald was formerly a long time resident of Blairstown. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1963 to 1969, and had been employed as a New Jersey State Trooper at several barracks throughout New Jersey. Mr. Seidel was also a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Blairstown.

Mr. Seidel is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Cutrone and husband Anthony, of Greenlawn, N.Y., and Sandra Leatherman, of Lawrenceville, as well as four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Susanne Carter Seidel, in 2010.

A service of remembrance will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 7, at the First United Methodist Church, 10 Stillwater Road, Blairstown. Arrangements are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown.
