NEWTON - Linda Jane Raperto, 57, died unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. Born to the late Helen Current and John Freitas in New York City, N.Y., she had lived in Franklin before moving to Newton. Linda worked as a home health care nurse. She had a big heart and cared deeply for her loved ones. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Helen Current (2000) and John Freitas (2000). She was the devoted mother of Vanessa Larrea, of Newport Richey, Fla., Tracy Raperto, of Largo, Fla., James Raperto Jr. and his wife, Kristi, of Vernon, and Michael Raperto, of Franklin. Linda was the loving grandmother of Zachary Chamberlin, Mia Larrea, Christopher and Kaitlin Collett, Taylor and Ella Raperto and Noah De Graw; and dear sister of Henry Freitas, Richard Strickland, Louis Freitas and John Freitas III, all of Texas. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at St. Jude the Apostle R.C. Church, Hamburg, 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. A repast will follow at the Franklin Fire Department.
