NEWTON - Gary V. DeFrino, passed away March 16, 2014, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.

Born in Passaic and raised in Lyndhurst, Gary was one of three children born to the late Andrew and Grace DeFrino. Gary graduated from Lyndhurst High School in 1965. He was employed at Leslie Company in Parsippany for more than 25 years where he was a foundry coordinator and engineering partner. He then worked at Bel-Art Products in Pequannock as a manufacturing coordinator for 22 years.

Gary was an avid fan of the New York Giants and New York Rangers. He possessed a wealth of knowledge in relation to all sports and his true passion, cooking. Gary also enjoyed traveling with his wife, especially the yearly trips to Vermont. Gary touched the lives of many people with his outgoing personality, generosity and kind heart.

Gary will forever be remembered by his wife of 37 years, Cathy DeFrino; his brothers, Robert and Mark DeFrino; his aunts; uncles; his many beloved nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Brandy.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, at The Morrison Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler. A memorial visiting will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the funeral home.
