DINGMANS FERRY, Pa. - Beth Holbrook Stickle, 83, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died Monday, April 7, 2014, at home.

Born and raised in Newton, Beth lived in East Stroudsburg, Pa., before moving to Dingmans Ferry, Pa., in May of 2003. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Montclair State College and was a customer service representative at Bamberger's (now Macy's) in Newark for eight years. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingmans Ferry, Pa., Beth also was a member of the Cliff Park Women's Golf Club and AARP. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and loved organizing social events with her family. She was a world traveler and known to be a very independent lady.

The daughter of the late John Miller Stickle and Anne M. (Holbrook) Stickle, Beth is survived by three daughters, Robin McMahon, of Knowlton, Nancy Hartmann, of Hawley, Pa., and Lynn McGurgan, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Schultz, of Winchester, Va., and Patricia Blocklin and husband, Hans, of Hamilton, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 103 Delaware Crest Drive, Dingmans Ferry, Pa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.

Memorial donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 237 East Brown St., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
