STANHOPE - Carol Lynn Dutcher, 66, of Stanhope, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Andover Subacute & Rehabilitation Center in Andover Township.

Born in Montclair, Carol was raised in New Brighton, Minn., where she lived until moving to Sussex County in 1977. She was involved with SCARC since 1982 and had been a longtime resident of the Lenape Valley Group Home. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Carol also was a volunteer at Newton Memorial Hospital with more than 1,000 hours.

The daughter of the late Allen R. and Shirley (Maxwell) Dutcher, Carol is survived by one sister, Gay Van Etten, of Stillwater; one nephew, Jeffery Van Etten and wife, Kate, and their children, Abigail and Harry, of Dorset, England; and one niece, Jennifer Skeeter and husband, Ray, and their daughters, Sydney and Brooke, of Middletown, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 37 Newton-Sparta Road, in Andover Township.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
