SPARTA - Danielle K. Naisby, 72, of Sparta, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Born in Glen Ridge, Danielle lived in Montclair and Butler before moving to Sparta. She enjoyed summers at Lake Grinnell since the age of 5 and served as the secretary of the Lake Grinnell Association for more than 25 years. Danielle was a member and former president of the Wallkill Valley Golf Club, co-founder of the Hardyston Township PTA, member of the Tranquility United Methodist Church, board member of the Sparta Historical Society and board member of KEEP. She is survived by her beloved husband, John R. Naisby III; son, Tom Donnelly and his wife, MaryJean, of Hopatcong; daughter, Karen Lowndes, of Butler; sister, Karen Abel and her husband, Warren, of Midlothian, Va.; and grandchildren, Allison and Jessica Lowndes, Thomas, Megan, Kaitlyn, Sarah and Patrick Donnelly. She also is survived by her brothers-in-law, James H.G. Naisby and family, and David Hunn Naisby and family. Friends may gather from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Danielle's memory to Tranquility United Methodist Church, 5 Kenley Way, Hackettstown, NJ 07840; or the Sparta Historical Society, 15 Island Trail, Sparta, NJ 07871.
