NEWTON - Restituta Ciaravolo, 94, of Newton, died Friday, June 13, 2014, at Barn Hill Care Center in Newton.

Born in New York City, N.Y., Mrs. Ciaravolo moved to Sussex County in the early 1970s. She was a former garment worker. Mrs. Ciaravolo was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton.

The daughter of the late Giacomo and Margaret (Bianca) Romolo, Mrs. Ciaravolo also was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1983; three brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by two sons, Rocco Ciaravolo and wife, Anna, of New York City; and James Ciaravolo and wife, Julie Landes, of Newton; one daughter, Margherita Vass, of Newton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake R.C. Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta. Monday, June 16.

Interment will follow in Clove Cemetery in Wantage. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 16, at the funeral home.
