FRANKFORD - Carol Lantz Valerio, 90, of Frankford Township, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Newton Medical Center.

Born in West Hoboken, Carol grew up in Teaneck, and then returned in 1950 to Sussex County where her family originated and continued to reside in Frankford Township for the balance of her life. A homemaker during her married life and widowed at the age of 59, she returned to work as the treasurer of Frankford Township and later as a sales representative for Wolfe Granite Memorials in Sussex.

Carol was the daughter of the late Morton D. and Mabel (Stockfish) Lantz. She also was predeceased by her husband, A. Leonard Valerio, in 1982; by their infant son, Richard Paul Valerio, in 1951; and by her sister, Jean Dickinson, in 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Ellen V.
