GREEN -- George Kenneth Decker, 77, of Green Township, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at home. Born in Saddle Brook, Mr. Decker grew up in Franklin Lakes, then lived in Fair Lawn for 24 years before moving to Green Township in 1986. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. A self-employed contractor for plumbing and carpentry, Mr. Decker was a past member of the Bergen County Plumbers Association. He was also a member of Western Hills Christian Church, where he served as a deacon. The son of the late Michael and Frances (Braun) Decker, Mr. Decker is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Decker, of Green Township; his children, Donna Yohn and husband, Harry, of Williams Township; Lorraine Decker of Saddle Brook, Michael Decker and wife, Mary, of Newton, Louise Ottilo of Doylestown, Pa., and George Decker, Jr., and wife, Carolyn, of Clifton; and his grandchildren, Bryce Kopp of Saddle Brook, Michael, Joseph, Matthew and Thomas Decker of Newton, Frank and Matthew Ottilo of Doylestown, Pa., and Aimee Decker and George Decker III of Clifton. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Western Hills Christian Church in Tranquility. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
