VERNON -- John Fredy Imbarrato, 35, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014. Born in Medellin, Colombia, South America, he had been a lifelong resident of the Highland Lakes section of Vernon. John will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and his devotion to his family and friends. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Highland Lakes, and was a dedicated husband and doting father. He enjoyed playing softball with the Highland Lakes league and was also an avid poker player. John was the beloved husband of Susan Imbarrato (Cairns), of Highland Lakes; loving father of Ariane, Madeline, Connor and Hayden; devoted son of the Rev. Father Stephen Imbarrato, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and dear brother-in-law of Michael Cairns, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and Jennyfer Cairns, of Monroe, Mich. The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 (1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, on Monday, Aug. 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Highland Lakes, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12. Cremation will be private.
