Eileen Hackett Obituary

VERNON -- Eileen Hackett, 59, died on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at the Hospice of New Jersey Center at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Donald and Eleanor Sander Lewis. She had been a resident of the Highland Lakes section of Vernon since 1984, having previously resided in the Bronx. Eileen had been employed for many years as a scan coordinator and store inventory clerk with the A&P Company in Vernon. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Highland Lakes.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Lewis Jr.

She is survived by her husband, John, at home; her daughters, Jennifer Hackett of Vernon, Megan Dignardi and her husband, Mark, of Franklin and Caitlin Hackett-Petrucci of Vernon; her sons, Shawn Hackett and his wife, Kristen, of Wayne, and Matthew Hackett of Highland Lakes; a sister, Marianne Jamerson of Portland, Ore.; her grandchildren, Tyler and Pamela Hackett and Joey Petrucci; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 184 Breakneck Road, Highland Lakes. Final disposition will be private. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mom you will always be in my heart. I'll never forget all the good times we had together. Your still my best friend and I'm glad you dont have to suffer any longer. You've made a huge impact on alot of peoples lives and you should be proud of that. Your the strongest person I know....I love you!
