OGDENSBURG - Thomas J. Hyde, 75, of Ogdensburg, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at Morristown Medical Center. Thomas was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1953 and served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a human resource manager in the benefits department at Ames Rubber Corp. in Hamburg. Thomas was a licensed water operator for the Ogdensburg water department and he worked for John McGowan LLC, well water compliance at several sites in Sussex County. He was a former member of the Ogdensburg Town Council, past member of the Ogdensburg Board of Education, and an exempt member of the Ogdensburg Fire Department. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Lynch) Hyde; devoted daughter, Shelley Masker, of Branchville; sister-in-law, Sharon Hoor; and brother-in-law, Bradley Lynch. Friends may call Monday, Nov. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Goble Funeral Home, Sparta. A funeral service will be held at Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
