HARDYSTON - Sheldon "Shelly" Mitchel Goldberg, born in New York on Sept. 4, 1941, died peacefully at home with family by his side at the age of 71. Mr. Goldberg resided in Dover before moving to Sussex County in 1991. He was the son of Mordechai Aria and Leah Goldberg. Sheldon "Shelly" was a proud veteran of the United States Army and for many years he was employed with Nationwide Bowling Centers. Mr. Goldberg was predeceased by his beloved sister, Shirley Cohen, and is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Carol Goldberg. He was the devoted father of Michael Goldberg and his wife, Natasha, of Hamburg, Lance Goldberg and his wife, Diane, of Delaware Water Gap, Pa., Keith Terwilliger, of Hopatcong, Craig Terwilliger and his wife, Michelle, of Wantage, and Janelle Terwilliger, of Hamburg; beloved grandfather of eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild; dear brother of Rita Bedell; and cherished by many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Relatives and friends may pay their respects to the family at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main St., Franklin, Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. Graveside services will be Thursday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at Sons of Israel Cemetery, Hardyston.
