OCEAN CITY, Md. - Robert John "Bob" Martin, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. Born to Albert and Rita Martin in New York City, he had lived in Bronx, N.Y., Haskell, N.J., and then Vernon N.J., for 30 years before moving to Ocean City three years ago. Bob served with the United States Army in Vietnam and then worked as an elevator maintenance man for 44 years, owning and operating Automatic Dumbwaiter and Gem Elevator before retiring in 2007.
