HOPATCONG - Joseph V. Lipari, 77, of Hopatcong, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, surrounded by his family at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., son of Vincenza and Sebastiano Lipari, he graduated from Brooklyn High School of Automotive Trades in 1953, served in the United States Army 1958-1962, and was a retired diesel mechanic and propane truck driver employed by Railway Express and Amerigas. He was a lifetime member of Hopatcong Hills Fire and Rescue Company 4, and enjoyed going to Hopatcong State Park, libraries and bookstores. Mr. Lipari was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Frances, and a granddaughter, Jillian Dinger. He is survived by his two children, Andrea L. Dinger and her husband, Harry, of Fair Haven and Joseph D. Lipari and his wife, Leonor, of Bloomfield. Also surviving are his granddaughters, Lindsey Lipari, Chelsey and Gabrielle Dinger; four great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends.
