BYRAM - Vincent K. Hartman, of Byram, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. He was 90. Born in Dover, he moved to Byram Township 61 years ago. Before retiring in 1985, Mr. Hartman was employed for 35 years in facilities maintenance with L.E. Carpenter in Wharton. He attended the New Apostolic Church in Wharton. He was an active volunteer fireman with Cranberry Lake Fire Department, a member of the N.J. Fire Police Officers and a member of the Byram Township Senior Citizens Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Hildegard (Hauser), in 1992; and his son, Bruce, in 1959. He is survived by two sons, Dean, of Byram Township, and Harold, of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Mary Palmer, of Reynolds, Ga.; two grandchildren, Shannon Garrity and Kyle Hartman; and one great-grandchild, Nadaleigh Garrity. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St., Netcong (www.netcongfuneral.com). Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cranberry Lake Fire Department, 225 US Highway 206, Stanhope, NJ 07874-3942.
