EFFORT, Pa. - Vivian "Tucker" Lockburner, 81, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, after a long illness. Born and raised in Sparta Township, Tucker was the son of the late Frank Lockburner and Belma (Ross) Lockburner. He was a dairy farmer in Fredon for many years. After retiring from George's Salvage in Newton, he and his wife, Marie (Ferro) Lockburner, retired to Effort, Pa. In addition to his parents, Tucker was predeceased by his brother, Francis Lockburner, and sisters, Elizabeth Slack and Marjoree Mistretta. Tucker is survived by his wife, Marie (Ferro) Lockburner; sons, John Lockburner and his wife, Cindy, David Lockburner and his wife, Eileen, and Mark Lockburner; daughter, Jenifer French and her husband, Jeffrey; stepdaughters, Cheryl Yurecsko, and Andrea Kenney and her husband, Martin; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his brothers, Frank Lockburner and Thomas Lockburner; sisters, Florence Lauer, Alleta (Joyce) Steffy, Agnes Haley, Jean Northup, Elaine Blanchard, Molly Harrje and Diane Smith; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date, determined by the family.
