WANTAGE - Helen H. Gardner, 102, of Wantage, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. Born in Petersburg, Va., Mrs. Gardner had lived in Bloomsbury before moving to Sussex County 22 years ago. She had been employed as a secretary for 29 years at Bristol-Myers in Hillside and had retired in 1975. Mrs. Gardner was a 92-year member of the Sussex United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Ridge Senior Citizens Club in Bloomsbury. She was predeceased by her first husband, Reynold Hall, on Dec. 4, 1970, and by her second husband, James A. Gardner, on March 17, 1998. Mrs. Gardner is survived by her daughter, Barbara Tracy, and her husband, Neil, of Wantage; her four grandchildren, Bonnie Jablonski, Wayne Tracy, Tami Waltke and Kim Mikulski; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Union. Friends may pay their respects to the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home.
