STILLWATER - Lindemann Jacobsen, 98, of Stillwater, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at home. Born in Lista, Norway, Mr. Jacobsen lived in Brooklyn for most of his life until recently moving to Stillwater. Mr. Jacobsen was a construction and drywall worker with the Carpenter's Union, Local 1456, in New York City. He was a member of the 59th Street Lutheran Brethren Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. The son of the late Jorgen and Lina Jakobsen, Mr. Jacobsen was predeceased by his wife, Henny, in 1993. He is survived by his son, Knut Jakobsen, and wife, Turid; his daughter, Lillian Tveite, and husband, Harry; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Lafayette Federated Church, 180 Route 15, Lafayette, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at the church. Interment will be held Friday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. at Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.
