SPARTA - Robert Charles Haase, 80, of Sparta, passed away Dec. 23, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Hackensack, moved to Sparta in 1945, was a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1950, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Haase was the owner and operator of Sparta Electric Supply from 1962 to 1987. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed bird watching.

Robert is survived by his former wife, Carole Haase; devoted son, William D. Haase, of Andover; daughter, Susan C. Cobaugh, of Shelton, Conn.; and loving grandson, Bryan Cobaugh, of Shelton, Conn.

Friends may call Sunday, Dec. 30, 7 to 9 p.m., at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to: Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 532 Lafayette Road, Sparta, NJ 07871.
