VERNON - Martha Catherine Kunnemann (Flanagan), 67, died at her residence after a long illness on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. Born to Thomas J. and Martha C. Flanagan in Jersey City, she had lived in Secaucus before moving to the Highland Lakes section of Vernon in 1975.
Mrs. Kunnemann worked as a dental assistant for many years and most recently with Dr. Langer in Vernon for more than 10 years, before retiring in 2008. She was a singer with the Vernon Community Choral Group and a member of the Institute of Spiritual Development as well as being an avid animal lover. Mrs. Kunnemann is the beloved wife for 46 years of Harvey Kunnemann, of Highland Lakes; and loving daughter of Martha C. Flanagan, of Highland Lakes. The family will receive their friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
