GOLDSBORO, N.C. - Dolores C. Hansen, 90, of Goldsboro, N.C., died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice in Goldsboro. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 24, 1922, Mrs. Hansen moved to Lake Tranquility 38 years ago, and upon her retirement, moved to Goldsboro in 2005. She was a loan supervisor for Citibank in New York City for 22 years, then worked for the Byram Township school board for 10 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Green Township Seniors. The daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Russo) Christgau, Mrs. Hansen also was predeceased by her husband, Henry; her brother, Henry Christgau; and her sister, Louise Indelicato. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Stevens and husband, Gary, of Goldsboro; her grandson, Keith Muscher and wife, Janet, of Goldsboro; her great-granddaughter, Rachel Muscher, of Goldsboro; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Christau and family of Hertford, N.C. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Entombment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
